2022 Northport Tennis Club Championships

Entry Requirements:

Matched Pairs: The entire tournament will take place on one afternoon. Participants must commit to play a total of 3 sets and be available to play from 12:30-4:00 that day. Each tournament will be limited to 16 players and 4 alternates. The format will be further explained that day. SIGN UP IS LIMITED TO EITHER SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, NOT BOTH.

Mixed 120, Men’s 120 and Women’s 120 Tournaments: Each player must be at least 50 years of age and the combined age of both players must total 120 or more years. Age is based on your age as of December 31, 2022. In order to encourage team diversity and competitive play all participants may NOT enter with the same partner they played with in the prior year.

Match Formats:

Mixed Double’s, Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles & Women’s Doubles - best 2 of 3 tiebreak sets (7 point tiebreaker played at 6-6).

Mixed 120’s, Men’s 120’s & Women’s 120’s – best 2 of 3 sets, sets 1 & 2 are tiebreak sets (7 point tiebreaker played at 6-6). If a third set is necessary a 10 point tiebreaker will constitute the third set. As the 10 point tiebreaker is considered a set, either player can elect to serve first for their team in the tiebreaker and the team serving the last game of the second set shall receive the first point of the tiebreaker.
