Congratulations to the Pelican Bay - Turner Team who finished in first place for the 24 - 25 SCAT Season! Captain Shelly Turner and her team finished the season with 14 wins and only 2 losses. We will celebrate the season with more tennis (round robin), prizes, food and cocktails on Wed. March 19th, at 3:30 pm at the Pelican Bay North Courts. Margit Bannon is teaching a Yoga for Tennis class at the new Wilson Pop-Up store in downtown Naples on Saturday February 8th at 9-10 am. Come for class, stay for coffee/mimosas/pastries and special discounts offered to participants! You don't have to RSVP, just show up and I would come a little early if you're interested as the space isn't huge to reserve your spot. Downtown Naples is also a great place to brunch, beach and shop afterwards as a reminder! Feel free to invite your tennis friends & teammates! No experience with yoga is necessary and I will have extra mats for those who would like to borrow one. If you do choose to come, please introduce yourself to me once there in case we haven't met yet or because we all look different outside of our tennis clothes! 🤣 I'm including a graphic in the attachment that you can share or to keep for yourself as a reminder in addition to a video I made after my last class there. SCAT IN JANUARY 2025 The first match of 2025 will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025. This is the only time we play on a Thursday. We did not want to miss out on a week of tennis in season because of New Years Day holiday! After much effort, the Plantation team will not be joining SCAT in 2025. They will try again in the fall for the 2025 / 2026 year. We are planning an end of year SCAT party in March 2025. Anyone interested in helping with the planning, please contact your captain or Mira Rochford at 239-287-2929. More information on the party will be released soon!
